Pesky parrot threatened with ASBO - Pet insurance

Residents in a Bradford village are sick as a parrot over the behaviour of a pet bird, it has been reported.
Elvis, a two-foot long macaw, has started damaging property and swooping down on people in the streets of Wilsden, according to the Bradford Telegraph & Argus.
Although some of the villagers like the colourful pet, other residents have complained to the council and want an anti-social behaviour order (ASBO) to be placed on the parrot and its owner, Edward Pikul.
Helen Smith, an anti-social behaviour officer for Bradford council, told the newspaper that Elvis is a "gorgeous bird" but suggested that he has a "dark side", which leads him to chew through TV cables and pick metal stops off building roofs.
Mr Pikul defended the pet and said he hopes he can continue to let Elvs fly freely around the village.
He commented: "If I had to imprison him in his cage, I would rather get rid of it. It would be upsetting, he is a lovely pet and would never harm anybody."
The hyacinth macaw, which is the largest of all parrots, can have a wingspan measuring more than four feet, according to National Geographic.
