Firemen rescue dog from manhole - Pet insurance online quote

An animal lover whose dog got trapped in a hole would like to thank the people who helped save the pet, it has been reported.

Doris Culwick, a great-grandmother from Orpington, took her Yorkshire terrier Billy for a walk in the area when he fell down a manhole, according to the News Shopper.

Billy, who is blind and diabetic, was unable to get out of the hole and needed help from the emergency services, leading 77-year-old Mrs Culwick to thank the firemen who saved the dog.

She would also like to thank the family who carried her dog back to where she was staying and helped her to wash the raw sewage from Billy's coat.

"They were little angels," Mrs Culwick told the newspaper.

Last month, it was reported that a psychic helped Nikki Newcombe find her missing Jack Russell Marmite.

Directions from the clairvoyant led the woman to her missing pet, which was trapped in a water-filled hole, according to the Daily Mirror.
