North Somerset animal lovers have been invited to attend a dog show held by the University of Bristol.
The university's school of veterinary science will hold the dog show in Langford this Sunday (June 8th) with all proceeds going to the Langford Trust for Animal Health and Welfare.
A variety of competitions will be held at the event, including best trick, most handsome male and best rescue categories, alongside a sausage-eating race.
Prizes will be awarded to the winner of each category, with a special best in show dog also being named.
Shelley Monks, practice manager for the Langford House Small Animal Practice, said that the day is not a serious competition, but a "bit of fun".
"We look forward to welcoming everyone to the event, whether you own a dog, or just have a fond appreciation for man's best friend," she continued.
The Langford Trust for Animal Health and Welfare was founded in 1990 to support the teaching of veterinary students.
