Cat health event comes to Scotland - Pet health insurance

A conference about cat health is to be held in Edinburgh, it has emerged.

The European Society of Feline Medicine (ESFM) will hold its annual conference at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa between September 25th and 28th, reports the Edinburgh Evening News.

More than 300 vets and professionals will attend to discuss the techniques and issues surrounding the care of sick cats, which often require treatment paid for by pet insurance.

Sue Stuart, chief executive of Edinburgh Convention Bureau, which helped to secure the event, told the news provider: "Edinburgh has a worldwide reputation for excellence in the field of veterinary medicine and we are delighted to welcome the ESFM delegates to the city."

The ESFM was established in 1996 to provide a focus for vets who specialise in the treatment of cats and covers the latest research in its Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery.
