Injured Staffie re-homed - Pet insurance for dogs

A Staffordshire bull terrier which was recovering from a broken leg in an RSPCA shelter has been given a new home.
When David Lane and Emma Gibson of March, Cambridgeshire, spotted Staffie Buddy at Block Fen Animal Centre in Wimblington, they were told he was not available for re-homing because of his injury.
As the couple continued looking for a new pet, they could not find one that matched the energetic dog and kept an eye on his progress.
One day, Ms Gibson noticed the dog had recovered from his injury and went back to see him, where they felt "an instant rapport".
The couple were able to take Buddy home eight weeks ago, although he is not finding making new friends as easy as he would like.
"Buddy is desperate to make friends with our cats, but they completely ignore him," said Mr Lane.
"He even pines for them when they're exploring outside," he revealed.
Earlier this week, research from the RSPCA revealed that Staffordshire bull terriers are one of the most abandoned breeds, along with German shepherds, rottweilers and Jack Russell terriers.
