An animal rescue centre has held a fun day to raise funds and find dogs new homes, it has been reported.
Saltburn Animal Rescue Association (Sara) held its annual Walkies Fun Day on Sunday (June 15th), with the entrants from the centre wearing ribbons to let onlookers know if they are available for adoption, according to the Evening Gazette.
Dogs which were looking for a new home sported a red ribbon, while those that have been successfully re-homed wore green ribbons.
All the area's dog owners were invited to the event, which started at 10:00 at Sara's new sanctuary at Foxrush Farm in Redcar.
Speaking ahead of the event, Sheila Green of Sara told the newspaper: "As this is our first big event at Foxrush Farm, it promises to be a good family day out."
Over the past six years, the association has rescued more than 2,000 cats and dogs and aims to provide veterinary care and foster homes until the pets can be permanently re-homed.
