North Wales Air Ambulance has adopted a cat as its mascot after it spent years welcoming them on and off its base, it has emerged.
TC, a black and white female, lives in the Helimed 61 air base in Caernarfon and responds whenever the ambulance's alarm is sounded, reports the BBC.
As the crew board the helicopter to head off to an emergency, the cat watches them leave - only to return to welcome them back to the base after their mission.
Irfon Davies, a paramedic with North Wales Air Ambulance, told the news provider: "It's uncanny how she knows when to leave the building when a call comes in and she's always here waiting when we get back.
"TC has become something of a mascot really."
Earlier this year, the North Wales Air Ambulance launched an appeal to raise £4 million to fund its three helicopters.
The money is needed to upgrade the aircraft, so they meet Civil Aviation legislation by 2009.
