Dog helps boy with diabetes - Pet insurance

Another entrant to the UK's first Cold Wet Nose Show has been revealed by the Daily Mail.
Bianca, an 18-year-old labrabor-golden retriever cross, has been trained to help his owner's son manage his Type-1 diabetes.
Keith and Samantha Beeby-Brown's three-year-old son Noah has to ensure his blood sugar level is kept stable at all times and is given a helping hand from his Cancer and Biodetect Dogs-trained dog.
The pet has been taught to detect when the child's blood sugar changes and knows to alert the parents when this happens.
Beverley Cuddy from Dogs Today told the newspaper: "Bianca can smell that something is wrong long before other people can tell.
"And if it does, [she] runs to either Keith or Sam and jumps into their lap to warn them of the change."
Ms Cuddy revealed Noah continues to have regular blood tests, but the dog helps him to lead a more normal life.
Also featuring at the Cold Wet Nose Show is a look-alike competition for dogs who look like their owners - or people who want to dress up like their pet.
