Harvey hops homes - Insurance for dogs
Posted :
19-06-2008
Harvey the Staffordshire bull terrier, who bounced out of his owner's York garden using a trampoline, has been returned home.
Yesterday, it was reported the three-year-old dog had escaped from his owner, who suspected he had used her children's trampoline in his breakaway plot.
Owner Laura Kidson was reunited with the dog after a woman called the York Press saying she had found the missing mutt.
Miss Kidson said: "We're delighted that he's back safe and well, but we're going to try and keep him off the trampoline from now on."
She also told her local paper she is considering building a bigger fence to thwart any of Harvey's future escape attempts, while some form of pet insurance would also be advisable given the dog's adventures.
Last month, a missing parrot in Tokyo was returned home after telling vets his name and address.
