Dog finds new home after 11 years - Cheap pet insurance

A dog which could be Britain's most unwanted pet has found a new family after spending 77 dog years at a shelter, it has emerged.
Jenny, a border collie, ended up at Gables Farm Dog's and Cat's Home after being abandoned in 1997, reports the Daily Mail.
However, because of her initial fear of people, the dog was overlooked by visitors looking for a new pet and remained at the centre.
By the time Jenny had calmed down, she was too old as most people prefer a puppy as a pet and the hopeful hound remained at the centre for the next 11 years.
Luckily, Pat and Mary Caffrey, from Paignton, Devon, heard of Jenny's story and decided to help her, giving the dog a home three months ago.
Mr Caffrey told the newspaper: "We always get rescue dogs and the puppies are great they will always find a home, but the older dogs are not always as fortunate as that."
The current dog of the month at Gables Farm Dogs' and Cats' Home is Yeti, a three-year-old mastiff cross, who is described as being strong and confident on the shelter's website.
