Dog returned to owners after three years - Pet insurance

A pet dog has been reunited with her owner after going missing almost three years ago, according to the RSPCA.
Brambles, a Saluki cross greyhound, disappeared from Sarah Thornewill's garden in Dorchester in September 2005 and was believed to have been stolen.
However, when the RSCPA responded to a call about a group of boys mistreating a dog in Bristol, they were able to reunite the animal with its owner.
A scan by RSPCA inspector John Atkinson found the dog had been reported to the organisation as stolen and shortly after Brambles was returned to Ms Thornewill.
She commented: "It was brilliant to have Brambles back, and a very emotional moment all round.
"After so long, we thought that we would never see Brambles again, but this just goes to show how worthwhile microchipping is."
Mr Atkinson highlighted the role that microchips play in reuniting owners with their missing pets and urged people to have their animals registered onto the database.
Welsh pet owners may be interested to know the RSPCA animal centre at Bryn y Maen near Colwyn Bay will be offering discounted microchipping throughout June, reports the North Wales Daily Post.
