Take dogs on holiday to reduce stress - Cheap pet insurance

A cruise line has called for dog owners to take their pets on holiday with them to avoid causing stress to the animals.
Stena Line, which claims to be one of the world's largest ferry operators, has suggested dogs left in kennels while their owners travel the world can cause unnecessary distress to the animals through separation anxiety.
Dr Roger Mugford, an animal psychologist, worked with the firm to discover the impact being left behind can have on dogs.
"Pets require more than just a balanced diet, a constant supply of fresh, clean water and safe place to play and exercise - they need companionship for at least part of the day," he said.
Dr Mugford revealed that dogs left in boarding kennels can suffer from depression and even hysteria, and pointed to taking them on the family's travels as an alternative.
Lars Olsson, Stena Line's general manager of travel for the UK, added that his firm had sought advice from Dr Mugford over how to make their vessels dog friendly.
Stena Line operates ferries between the UK, Ireland and Europe and allows dogs to travel onboard its vessels in specially-built kennels.
