One of soap's most loved dog characters is to be killed off, after which the canine actor which plays it will retire.
Wellard, who has been in EastEnders for 14 years, will leave the show because Belgium shepherd actor Kyte is too old to continue.
The canine character has actually been played by three different actors - Kyte, her mother and her grandmother.
However, a mole told the Sun: "Now it's time for the character to bow out gracefully."
Over the years, the dog has been involved in a number of storylines, seeing his original owner Robbie Fowler leaving to travel India, getting run over and being passed between various families.
According to the BBC, Wellard was also imprisoned on the programme after biting Albert Square resident Ian Beale, leading to members of the public to wear 'Walford One Owed Freedom' (WOOF) t-shirts.
In addition to acting, Kyte also enters dog agility competitions and undertakes charity work for dog rescue homes, according to the news provider.
