Monkey cowboy rides a dog - Pet health insurance

A pet monkey in the US has thrilled crowds at a rodeo show - by riding a dog as if it were a horse, it has emerged.
Whiplash, a 21-year-old capuchin, has learned to ride border collies Toby and Bud and won himself fame in the process, although it is not know if pet insurance covers his hobby, reports the Sunday Mirror.
The monkey, who wears a miniature cowboy outfit and hat when in the saddle, has starred in an advertising campaign for an American taco restaurant, as well as becoming a hit on websites such as YouTube.
Owner Tommy Lucia told the newspaper: "He's got such a strong will - you never quite know what he's going to do next.
"But he's a natural when he's in the saddle. He has great balance, he's very strong and aware, and anticipates every twist and turn."
He also revealed that Whiplash was saved from a "stinking cage in Florida" when he was a baby and now the pet performs in more than 100 rodeos, basketball games, private events for celebrities and TV shows a year.
Closer to home, Cyril, a red squirrel, has shocked Darlington cats by using gymnastics to grab nuts from a garden bird feeder, according to the Daily Telegraph.
