Dog saved by pet insurance - Insurance for dogs

A dog in Manchester has been given an extra two years with her family because of pet health insurance, it has been reported.
Coco, a nine-year-old Irish wolfhound-greyhound cross, only had weeks to live after a tumour on her leg was discovered, according to the Manchester Evening News.
However, owners Angela and Kieron Connolly, from Saddleworth, decided to fight for their pet and paid £6,000 for the leg to be amputated and a course of intensive chemotherapy.
This meant the dog's life expectancy has risen from just six weeks to around two more years.
Fortunately, the family revealed the bulk of the cost of the life-saving treatment will be cover by Coco's pet health insurance policy.
Mrs Connolly told the newspaper: "I've no doubt that we have made the right decision, we wouldn't have done it any other way.
"Coco is doing really well and the prognosis looks good."
Last week, the Border Counties Advertiser reported a bichon frise who fell sick with a liver disorder was helped to recovery by a blood transfusion from her labrador playmate.
