Pet party pointers - Insurance for dogs

An expert has provided a series of tips for throwing a party for pets, it has been reported.
Dorothy Moore, who owns a dog restaurant, told WRCBtv.com that events held for animals include dog weddings to fashion shows, which can be easily organised by owners.
"You might think of them as you would a children's party, with that level of creativity and extra care needed," she told the news provider.
Ms Moore advises people to bring their pets to the party on leashes, with only adults left in charge of the animals to reduce the chance of chaos occurring.
She also suggested not inviting antisocial dogs, as they could cause problems at the event, and to plan for enough bathroom breaks.
Other tips include making sure activities involve the owners as well as pets and arranging a competition for the best tricks to keep all the guests entertained.
Earlier this year, PDSA advised dog owners to ensure their garden is free from plants which could be harmful to their pets, to reduce avoidable pet health insurance claims.
