Dog hits the road - Pet insurance for dogs

A Wiltshire boxer dog looks as though he was born to be wild, after taking up motorbike riding with his owner, it has been reported. Slobber has been riding on the back of owner Nick Rickman's Harley Davidson since he was a puppy and has covered around 300 miles of road, according to the Metro. The dog originally rode in a wooden box attached to the back of the bike, until Mr Rickman built a custom fibreglass carrier to seat Slobber on his £12,000 Superglide Sport Harley. "You see people in their cars doing double takes to check if it is really a dog or just a really ugly woman," he told the newspaper. Mr Rickman added that other road users always wave when they overtake him and his pet, but so far no-one has crashed - avoiding claims on both his car and pet insurance.
In June, the Felixstowe Evening Star reported that a local lhasa apso dog rides in a custom-made carriage his owner bought for him.
