Mums 'to lookout for car thieves'
Posted :05-07-2007
Mums who regularly take their children to school by car in the Oxton area of Merseyside are being warned to keep on the lookout for opportunistic thieves.
According to the Wirral Globe, police have recently been investigating a spate of break-ins which have coincided with the school run.
The news, which may be of interest to those with women's car insurance, explained that items such as handbags and other valuables have all been taken from vehicles.
"We know that thieves are opportunist and can strike at the most unexpected occasions," said neighbourhood investigator Paul Harrison.
He went on to urge drivers in the area to be extra vigilant and not leave any personal possessions in their cars.
Although car insurance policies vary, some are decided using factors such as the location in which the car is registered.
