Ladies' driving events are 'ultimate day out'
Posted :19-07-2007
Women's car insurance customers who are looking to show off their driving skills might want to do so this summer, while raising money for charity at the same time.
Organised by the Fire Services National Benevolent Fund (FSNBF), the Ladies Driving Challenges require an entry fee of £10 and include all sorts of motoring tests, such as getting behind the wheel of a digger or combine harvester.
According to the FSNBF, the events are an "ultimate girls' day out" and could give ladies the chance to show off just how well they can drive.
One of the upcoming challenges in scheduled for August 19th at the Caerwent Ministry of Defence site in south Wales.
During the day, lady drivers can choose to take charge of vehicles such as fire engines, 4X4s and heavy goods vehicles.
Meanwhile, a recent report in the Daily Mail included comments from a psychologist who believed women's car insurance customers were more likely to name their cars than men.
