Nissan Qashqai 'popular with female drivers'
Posted :28-08-2007
The first women's Car of the Year awards organised by evecars.com has taken place and seen the Nissan Qashqai pick up the gong for best family hold-all, it emerged this week.
A panel of female experts - who may also be women's car insurance customers - were accompanied by Steve Fowler, editor of What Car? magazine, to assess a range of vehicles and decide what would be most suitable for lady drivers.
The Qashqai was noted for the visibility it offers among other features, explained eve.cars.com editor Alex Jenner-Fust.
"The judges were impressed by the Qashqai's classy cabin," she said. "They found it comfortable, spacious and straightforward to drive. Safety and value for money were both strong points too."
Women are often advised to consider taking out female car insurance as this can reduce premiums. However, the price of cover also depends on traditional factors such as the age and experience of the driver.
